Demonheart is a visual novel in a dark fantasy setting, featuring a female protagonist whose personality is completely up to the player thanks to extensive dialog choices.

• Female protagonist.
• Immersive conversations with multiple choices.

• Custom alignment system for the main character, measured by two scales: Good/Evil and Tactful/Defiant.
• A journal that gets filled with world lore.

Bright is a young woman from a small, peaceful town. Dark times have come for her family, but luckily, she has the favor of the famous healer-witch Orchid. Benevolent, calm and beloved by all, Orchid hides dark secrets that Bright begins to uncover.

Bright is drawn into a world of darkness and treachery. It seems she can never be alone again - for a powerful demonic presence has taken an interest in her activities, and his voice enters her mind at the most inappropriate times.

There are also others who play a significant role in Bright's new life. Ari, a young apprentice witch seduced by bad influences. She tries to be friendly, even though she knows Bright is meant to be her enemy. or is she? And Sir Brash, a notorious evil knight who develops a soft spot for Bright, but has a rather special way of showing affection.

INTRO

My entry for the 3rd Wowie Game Jam.

Lls (lazerlightshow) mac os. The theme was: 'FAILURE IS PROGRESS'

In converted that theme in a chess like game, but with a twist. Pongsk mac os. You only win if you lose all of your pieces. So you need to think how you can be attacked by your opponent to let him take your pieces instead of the other way around :-).

And it has an extra rule: You have to attack a piece if you can!

STORY

You have died and want to go to heaven, but before you can ascend to paradise you must first get rid of your earthly demons. When you are free of your demons, only then can you truly live peacefully in the afterlife.

HOW TO PLAY

Quite simply, select your piece and move it, but do keep in mind the following rules:

• Each piece can move a certain number of squares forward or sideways.
• You must capture a piece if you can (mandatory).
• And you cannot move through lava and water or through your own pieces.

Try to beat your own score (less turns is better) to lose all your demons!

And have fun playing!

PS: if the game hangs (no time to fix it) just restart in the main menu.(press escape).did a minor bug fix after jam submit period that should help to enjoy the game some more.

4. Run the Linux file
5. Run the Mac OS file

Could not test Mac OS myself, so I hope it works ;)!
